IS THIS HERS??? by Denis-V IS THIS HERS??? by Denis-V
Hi there guys! :D This is my new drawing of a historical girl in every day life situation. In this drawing I tried to make something different and for the first time here, I draw face expressions. :D It is first try, so, I`m gonna practice more to get it more accurate.
As I like to include archeological findings, I did a tribute to my "dear" history periods. Well, I imagine that this girl originated from north lands, somewhere on the Sweden islands.
She wears tunic inspired by the "Egtved girl" (… skirt. :D
Her sword is combination of antenna swords from bronze and iron age Europe (Hallstat culture) and leaf shaped swords of bronze age. Necklace in her hand is also combination of archaeological findings from Viking and Hallstat era. Even though those time periods are not consistent with each other, we can use imagination ad say that swords are carried from generation to generation for decades, even centuries and that some fashion endured longer than other.
I did a bit tribute to those cultures combining then into one drawing. Also, belt disk is known from Egtved tomb and from all around Europe. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT.

She sure has a Swedish face :) Did she find someone else's jewels at her lover's place? XD
Very nice work (and a lot of historic study)!!!

I bet he isn't...she has a sword! XD
I like your work, I always love to imagine how my friends and me would look like wearing ancient costumes :D I drew myself in a sort of ancient Roman dress...
I will check your Mediterranean based drawings! :D

Another great drawing Denis! Love the handle on the end of the sword and that shirt has an insane amount of detail, amazing! Froggy Emoji 26 (Happy) [V2]

Well, now this is something different! The details and the smoothness of drawing is admirable, but the expression is awesome!

Your previous works displays beautiful maidens that could go a long with some nice poem, but this one, she's a lady with an attitude and equally intimidating sword :D
I'm surprised on your take with facial expressions, it really brings out here character and individuality! Plus the highly detailed drawing, both just make this an awesome art :)

Thank you Gin! Your words are much inspiring and motivating! :)Thank you for such support. I think I`m going to bring more relations between viewer and drawn character. I will try to give more emotions to my drawings because that is what is missing in my older work. Emotional drawings have great impact on me, so I`ll give it more attention. :) Depicting maidens with some nice poem highlighted my day! :D Thanks!
